- Where is it?
For clarification the show field this year is formally known as the Hormare Field or Storrington Recreational Field, Storrington RH20 4HH and lies just to the west of the Leisure Centre, Cricket and Football ground. Access to the field is from Hurston Lane, maybe 400 metres west from the Duck Pond roundabout just a short way from the Pulborough Road. This also provides an entrance to the Leisure Centre/Football/Cricket Clubs and the Hormare housing estate.
Non-show car parking can be found at the Leisure Centre and nearby roads. We will have a very limited car Public Car parking facility for the public but this will be chargeable and on a first come first served basis.
- When can I access the field ?
We are encouraging members to arrive from 8.00am and be in place by 10.30am. Volunteer marshals will show you where to park.
- When am I able to leave?
It is unfair to ask our volunteer marshals to be on call throughout the day so there will only a skeleton crew after 10.30am when the gates will close. Please remain on the field until 3.30pm unless of course there is an extreme emergency. We want you to stay! If there is a good reason to leave then please find a marshal at the SADCASE marquee to escort you off the field. All marshals on duty will be wearing bright orange hi-viz clothing.
- Do I need to show my ticket?
Please have your ticket ready and if possible display this along with your rally plate just behind the windscreen The rally plate (an image of which is shown below) will be given to you on arrival. Your ticket number will be recorded upon arrival or a short time after you have parked. It is essential therefore to have a copy with you as otherwise you will be directed to the public car park area if there is enough room or asked to purchase another ticket again, if there is space available. It is, therefore, really important that you contact us, editor@sadcasecarclub.bo.uk, if you have any queries regarding your ticket. PLEASE check that you have your ticket ready. As mentioned before, the formal receipt for your ticket acts as your ticket for the day and should be copied or be accessible from your mobile or tablet to be viewed upon entry. All members who have purchased more than one ticket at a time have now been issued with additional tickets with different numbers. It is the numbers that are being logged this year rather than the names although all members purchasing ticket are recorded on our encypted files.
- How much is the entrance fee?
The price before the show is just £5 and £10 on the day for any other show car wishing to enter the show field. It is very easy to apply. Just click on the link below and purchase a ticket. £5. We believe this is great value when other shows charge many times this sum. Please remember that there are many bills to pay. Bins, Toilet cleaning, Ambulance services, Public Liability Insurance, Rally plates and more. All profits will be donated to the local Mary How Charity.
