We have finalised details for our Storrington Show on 24th August. Everything is in place.
Help on the day
As already mentioned, we are in need of help as usual so would ask for members support. Duties may include marshal support both on field and road, gazebo building and general assistance.
Many, many thanks to those who have already offered to help on the day. We cannot put the show on without you! Please email editor@sadcasecarclub.co.uk if you are able to give a couple of hours on the day.
What to expect
There will be Food and drink stalls, motormobilia stands and a comprehensive Hepworths Brewery Beer tent offering Beer, Wine, Cider and soft drinks. We will be taking photos of our wonderful cars with prizes handed out on the day for the Car(or motorcycle) of the show and the most unusual vehicle. Come and meet the Gearbox committee where membership cars, windscreen stickers and more can be found.
Tickets
Some of you would have noticed the improved method of issuing tickets at the Amberley Show. The last 50 members applying for tickets received an updated processed numbered order which acted as the ticket to allow entry and also as a receipt. This seems more efficient and saves hours of time creating bespoke tickets. We did intend to charge a nominal fee of £5 on the day but moving our cars off the road is a priority. Processing entrants will delay matters potentially creating a bottleneck situation on a busy road. The Gearbox committee therefore believes it is far better to continue with ticketing through the CARTERS website. This year we have halved the fee to £5 if purchased online anytime before the event and £10 as last year for those who would rather wait. We know what we would prefer. It is important to remember that members purchasing their tickets at £5 beforehand have priority. If the field is full then there will not be any £10 tickets available on the day. This is our showcase event of the year when we expect the field to be buzzing with cars, members and excitement. Looking at other events this does seem excellent value for money.
