Our November car of the month, a 1963 Lotus Elan 1600 submitted by Sean Barriskill:
'First and foremost I don't own the car. It belongs to Rod and Peta Little. Rod is also a SADCASE member. About four years ago Rod unfortunately had an accident that left him unable to drive the car. Knowing I'm a petrol head and also the Competition Secretary for the Bognor Regis Motor Club they very kindly entrusted me to run and look after the car. There is a mechanic for anything too complicated though! Rod bought the car in 1982 for £500! He completely restored the car as it was in a bit of a sorry state. It has changed colour a couple of times, it was black originally when it left the factory. A funny story about the car, they once had a pet Jersey Cow named "Toffee" who thought it would be a lovely idea to stand up with her front legs on the bonnet of the car! Of course being fibreglass the bonnet was ruined! Cue a new bonnet!'
